- The first thing I am thankful to God for is entering the heart of my son, Jacob. You can read more about what happened here.
- I am thankful for prayer and how God listens. I am quite anxious about Jacob starting school, but God has been showing me how I need to rely on him by giving it all over to Him through prayer.
- I am very thankful for my husband, Colin. When I get things out of perspective, he is there to rationalise it all for me, give me a hug and tell me things are ok. Last night I got all weepy about Jacob starting school and hubby hugged me and was just so so kind.
- Two healthy, active children. I am so thankful to God for them. Yes, the days can be hard and sometimes I would be glad to see the back of them, but overall they are a blessing. They have heaps of energy, love each other and do the funniest things. We are making memories.
- Finally, I thank God for his precious Word. The Bible is our guidebook for life. It is a foundation for Christian living, NOT old fashioned but actually truly relevant.
Wow!!!! I've noticed that many of us ladies are thankful for our hubbies this week!!! We are truly blessed!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!!

Rejoicing with you in the joy of Jacob's decision! I had the same opportunity with my 5 and 3 year old. After my oldest made a true commitment, he turned and led his little brother to the Lord. Imagine my joy!

Collette,
ReplyDeleteLove your list! Hang in there when it comes to schooling. It will get easier I think although as my oldest enters her Junior year, it is becoming more challenging for me.
I honestly can't believe what is being required and just how much are kids are required to know in school anymore. I know life for me growing up wasn't this difficult.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful list this week.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Thanks for sharing your great list. It seems many of us are blessed with husbands who comfort, uplift and support us! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing it is to lead our little ones to Christ!
ReplyDeleteI remember when my oldest was going to be old enough to start school. They just seem so little to be leaving home, so I totally understand.
I decided I wanted to homeschool (although my hubby had his concerns but gave me permission to try it), so that's what we did.
But several of our friends have kids in public and Christian schools, and their kids are doing well. The Lord will watch over your precious little one!
Wonderful list of praises to God. Love your blog design.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog. I feel so honored to have people visit across the ocean. Your list is great and I'm sure your son will do fine in school. I remember those first days with my two girls, but that was so long ago.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
AliceE.
Great list. Husbands seem to be in the lime light this week. Blessings, SusanD
