Times change!

A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3 1-8 NIV.

My life seems to be full of seasons at the moment. My son starts school in just over one weeks time. My daughter is almost toilet trained. Our toddlers group is due to start at Church again. Sunday school starts mid September. Yet again, life is getting busier and changes are a coming!

Thank you God for this verse;

8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8 NIV.

  1. Hi Collette,

I saw your blog on The Redhead Riter's blog and thought I would pop over and say hello! I really like your blog so far. Your background is beautiful and I love your title! Plus, the scripture from Ecclesiastes that you used for this post is some of my absolute favorite in the whole Bible.

I look forward to reading more of your blog and getting to know more about you and your family. I'd love to have you visit my blog. I am very new to blogging but I have a few decent posts under my belt. :o) You are welcome any time.

I hope you and your family have a wonderfully blessed weekend. Take care!

    In Christ Alone,

    Teresa <><

  2. I absolutely love this scripture. I feel that I am in a season right now that I find myself apologizing for and I shouldn't be. I decided that I am stepping away from children's ministry to focus on being a mom and it isn't taken very well from some involved. However, I am still involved in other areas in the church. I finally am at peace with it because my most important role right now is raising my children in Christ. And they are growing up way too fast.

  4. So, a little time to encourage.. also. Nice Scripture! About the quilting: I "piece" by sewing on the machine. It's not as hard as it seems! You can take a class or read a book for beginning sewing/ quilting. Joining a quilt guild can be fun way to learn and make friends.

  8. Thanks for the reminder that though our lives seem overwhelmingly busy sometimes, our God never changes. What a comforting thought!
